Fox Star Studios has said goodbye to the Indian film business. In November 2018, the company had a 3-film deal with Akshay Kumar’s production house ‘Cape of Good Films’. The first film of this deal was ‘Mission Mangal’ in 2019. On the other hand, ‘Laxmi’ was released on the OTT platform due to the theater being closed in lockdown. Now the third film of this deal may not be made.
Deal signed after ‘Jolly LLB 2’
Bollywood Hungama quoted sources as saying, “Akshay Kumar and Fox signed a deal for three films after the success of the 2017 film ‘Jolly LLB 2’. But then it was not known that Disney would buy Fox officially. Now it seems that Disney is not interested in film production in India. Disney prefers to retain many rights related to films. At the same time, Indian artists and producers do not expect this from the studio. However, Disney has not commented on the third film of the deal with Akshay. “
Akshay booked for two years
The trade expert says, “Akshay Kumar is booked for the next two years. He has finished shooting for ‘Suryavanshi’, ‘Bell Bottom’, ‘Prithviraj’ and ‘Atrangi Ray’. He is now ‘Bachchan Pandey’, ‘ “Raksha Bandhan”, “Ram Setu”, “Mission Lion”, Mudassar Aziz’s film and Yash Raj Films’ next film, etc.
A year was completed for the film ‘Good News’
On December 27, Akshay shared the Behind the Scene video of the song ‘Sauda Khara-Khara’ on social media on the occasion of the anniversary of the film ‘Good News’. He wrote in its caption, “If I had to disburse this year (2020), it would have been just like that … baffling with some ups and downs. But eventually we managed to handle it. Hopefully, the coming year will bring a lot of ‘good news’ with us.
